RUDE MAX

Evan Ferris, better known as Rude Max, is an alternative hip hop producer and recording artist from Missoula, Montana. Rude Max started creating music when he was in high school. At age 16 he took guitar lessons and quickly learned how to record himself. After a couple of years and many failed attempts at starting a band, Rude decided to turn to song writing and making hip hop beats. Being influenced by both hardcore rap and death metal, most of Rude’s production and song lyrics are dark, aggressive and emotional, making for a unique, original sound.

Rude Max has been performing live since February of 2012. Since then Rude has shared the stage with artists such as: Odesza, Casual (of Hieroglyphics), DJ Ablilities; Pigeon John, Sadistik, Sleep (of Oldominion & Chicharones), X-Perience (of Oldominion & Step Cousins), Grayskul, Dizzy Wright, Maulskull, No Bird Sing, Carnage The Executioner, Blueprint, Illogic, Ecid, Cryptic Wisdom, Whitney Peyton, Andre Nickatina, Graves 33, Make Mind, The Illusionists, Luck & Lana (Luckyiam Of Living Legends & Lana Shea), Knowmads, Aceoutrageous, Burnell Washburn, Abstract Rude, Mine+Us, Eraserfase, Abadawn, Errol Hem, Milky Way, and MC Nobody Cares. Rude Max also performed during the Zoo Music Awards 14’ at the Wilma Theater in Missoula, MT.

After that he released a self produced side project, with Gatsby and Shadow, titled "Misfit Island" on Halloween, October 31st, 2012. Drawing influence from artists such as Blue Sky Black Death, Snowgoons, El-P and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind, Evan's production style can be best described as 'aggressive'. Dark tones both over and under pervade throughout his music, without coming close to being cheesy or overbearing. Evan's work is able to squeeze genuine emotion out of the hardest of thugs. Nobody in his regional scene comes close to the level of prolificity that Evan acheives, while never sacrificing the quality of each individual track. His arrangements continue to get more intricate and beautiful, and the world takes notice.
